Today was not so awesome. For one thing my tires blew out and I have to spend lots of $$ to replace them. That’s not awesome.

In other not so awesome news the new game (youtube) Bully from Take Two is causing a lot of controversy. I don’t really know why, based on the game’s trailer(youtube) it doesn’t really look all that crazy. Actually, it looks fun. The funny thing is that despite the controversy(youtube) this game can’t be that bad. It is rated T for teen. It’s not even M(Mature) like Grand Theft Auto. These mom’s featured in the previously mentioned controversy are all crazy. They complain because this game encourages their children to hit, obviously games like Halo are right out then because you blow peoples brains out.

The fact is that it is okay to hit sometimes. When I was a kid in elementary school this guy from the Navy came and spoke and he told us that we should be like the navy, never start anything(the debate on whether or not this is accurate doesn’t belong here) but to be ready to finish it. As in, if we were attacked it was okay to fight back. As I learned a few years later, in the school system, it isn’t okay to fight back or defend your self. When five kids threw me on the ground and kicked me in the snow it wasn’t okay for me to stand up and kick one of them back. I got in trouble for that and the other kids didn’t have so much as a warning. Why? Who knows, the point is that Bully is dealing out a lesson about this.

The point of Bully as it says in the, a fore linked news cast, is to empower people to stand up to bullies and not accept injustice. Good for them, kids should learn that. If this game can get kids to stand up for them selves on a daily basis rather than building up anger until they shoot everyone then good. I say its awesome.
