Im a whiner

Fear grips me that my Blog may just turn into a giant whine fest where I a puke out all my guile on a daily basis.

It is with such great reservation that I share the following.

On my way home tonight I stopped off to see some friends that live in Glenwood. I saw David and we talked for a few minutes, made some plans and I left. Anyone who has been in this situation can imagine my dismay when I found a boot on my car. I don’t know that I recall having so much deep anger, ever.

I thought about sawing the boot off my car but alas, I didn’t have a hacksaw. I gave in and called the number they had left. Thank you BYU Parking enforcement! I really wanted to be polite, I know booters have a crappy job and they probably have to deal with a lot of jerks. I was really trying to prepare myself to be polite and laugh at the whole thing.

Then the booter rolled up, ooh I wish I was making this up, in a brand spanking new Escalade.

Now, I’m not a violent person. I’ve punch a wall or two in my day. I’ve thrown my skateboard on more than one occasion but its not a personal violence. I’ve never wanted to take my skateboard and smash someone’s school in until this joker drove up. I still wanted to be nice, at least part of me did, but I couldn’t stop my self from asking “Do you ever feel like an asshole driving up in that car to take people’s money?” To his credit, the booter remained calm and polite and said that yes he did, sometimes. I had to ask him a few questions, I mean, I did just pay him 50 bucks to come see me. I had him explain the rules to me and I tried to find out where these rules might be posted. So, just for everyones information, it is after midnight that your car will be booted unless its the weekend. There is an exception, if the day of the weekend starts with an “S” you will still be booted after 12.

Thank you BYU for rejecting my application and taking my money anyway! You’re AWESOME!
