That is all.

KA-BLAM!

.

Thats what I’m talk’in bout.

You know you’re a dork when…

1. You use l337 speek to label your food in the fridge.

2. You blog about it.

3. You fantasize that someone will eat aforementioned labeled food because it will make a better blog entry.

Me: “Seriously dude! Why did you eat my food?!”
Food Stealing Bastard: “I didn’t know it was yours!”
Me: “Didn’t you see how I labled the thing!!?”
Food Stealing Bastard: “DUDE! I DON’T SPEAK NERD!!!!”

4. You laugh at your own lame blog entry.

A Funny Thing

Last June I wrote a post on DIYhappy about making a enormous burrito. This burrito:

Anyway, I hadn’t really thought about it at all for a long time then I got a random comment notifier from that Post. It seems that one of the participants, that is Mace Glazier, was doing a vanity search and found the page.

How cool is that?

I actually had a debate as to whether I would post their names or not because…well, if you were interviewing for a job and they googled your name, would you really want them to know that you are involved in something as nefarious as giant burrito construction?

Of course not. But I figured they would all be proud of their involvement so I put it up. Looks like I was right because Mace was all stoked to find himself associated with the giant burrito.

May it always be so.

We have a name for that: Flakey

Movie night is back and Gary has done a write up on Night at the Museum. Go check it out.

Recently movie night has been a bit more intimate. That isn’t a bad thing because the people that are there are of better quality. We had a few weeks (when movie night seemed to be exploding) where we had some less than interesting people attending. Lets not mince words, they were retards.

While their big smiles and innocent look were welcomed at first pretty soon there was drool all over the couches, their hoots and cries weren’t cute and in the end we were obliged to kill movie night lest our mongoloid “friends” return.

Now that the coast is clear, and our scouts assure us that it is, we’re happy to kick off movie night once more.

By the way, as for the title “Flakey” doesn’t actually refer to movie night goers that I expected to show. Their absence is noted but my only response is shrugged shoulders and a faraway look.

No, when I mention flakey I’m referring to a previous event, a few days ago actually. It was my friends birthday and someone went through the trouble of making him cake and whatnot (good job Tami). I went ahead and called some of his friends. Actually, I invited six people that I knew he would be happy to have at his birthday. All were very excited to come but when it came down to it only one showed and him more than an hour late.

In frightful confusion, and now I admit, with feelings of betrayal; I called some of the absent. They were a bit miffed that I had bothered them during dinner, which apparently couldn’t be moved to another time in order to come show some appreciation for our mutual friend.

Quiet and sad. Flakey people suck, don’t be a flake.

Night at the Museum

night-at-the-museum.JPGOnce again Movie Night rolled around and once again I had fun even if no one else seemed to. Well you can’t please everyone so you got to please your self. Truth be told Movie Night is hard to pull off every time because there are so many different groups that every once in a while some people come and they just don’t mesh too well. That’s what happened this time but after the ice broke and one of the groups went home things picked up quite nicely.

The chicken parmesan recipe that Fatty gave us was awesome! We ran out of the correct spices so it was missing the perfect zing but that’s ok, practice makes perfect. I thought we made way too much but once again to my surprise, no left over food.

The Movie:
When Larry Daley, a divorced father who can’t seem to keep a job for more than a week, applies for a job at the Museum of Natural History, he is assigned as a night guard. However, a seemingly easy job turns out to be a wild ride when he finds that an ancient curse has caused the “inhabitants” of the museum to come to life.

This was my second time seeing this movie and I liked it a lot more this time around. Its not your typical Ben Stiller movie, but this time knowing that it was a kids movie allowed me to accept and enjoy the humor better. It is really amazing how your perceptions and pre-conceived notions about a movie can drastically change your attitude about it.

All in all it was a good Move Night, I liked the food and the movie was great.

People that are more famous than me

I was contemplating my new found stardom and realized that there are some other people who deserve millions of fans almost as much as I do. I present to you, our very own, Eric Hoffner:Shredder of Gnar, Defender of the Saxons. We love you Eric.

Will it Shatter?

Did I mention to anyone lately that I’m totally famous? Well…just a reminder.

As a fairly direct parody on WillitBlend Sewelldirect is kicking off it’s new internet series called will it shatter. We basically take old products that are defective or discontinued and stick them in liquid nitrogen for a few minutes before we hit it with a pingpong paddle to see if it shatters. I can’t believe I’m an awesome forever internet superstar.
