I have to say that I own both a zune 80 gb and Ipod 80 GB and the Zune is the one I use everyday. Though I cant sync it with my mac I have no problem going to my brothers house and syncing with his computer for like 30 minutes. My Ipod has been collecting dust. Its just not as user friendly as the zune.

Its way better than IPOD easier to use on any laptop other than IMAC.

to help!!
You can use parallels. Here are two tutorials:

http://www.zune-online.com/news/zune/zune-on-mac-using-parallels.html

Zune’s native file compatible formats are:

JPEG for images;
WMV is supported on all models, and MPEG-4 and H.264 are supported for video on all models except the Zune 30. The MPEG-4 and H.264 formats are automatically transcoded to WMV by the Zune software when syncing to a Zune 30;
MP3, AAC (.m4a), Zune Marketplace (restricted and DRM free), WMA Pro (2-channel), WMA Standard, WMA lossless for audio.

you need to convert the video first.

The major problem is that MS and Apple don't give consumers the benefit of the doubt. They think if you own a Mac you've sold your soul to Apple and any advertising or "bones" thrown your way are wasted effort. PC likewise.

What they need to understand is that (MOST) consumers go with the better product. The more features and dynamic compatabilities you can cram in a device the better off you're going to be. If MS put in features like portable harddrive capabilities and non-proprietary OS compatabilities they would have me, and many others sold.

I just can't justify paying that much for something that's restricted to MP3 and Video playback, especially when further restrictions are placed on where and how I can use the device.

Great post!
