Have you ever tried to get a company to tell you the amount you will actually have to pay when you pick up the car before you actually get there? EVERY time it is a lie and it works out more - in Seattle I remember being told that i could drive away but that I wouldn't have insurance. I asked if it was legal to drive without insurance and was told it wasn't. Nice. Car rental companies everywhere are essentially licensed criminals.
